I coil my body without fear during practice but on course I don’t coil nearly as much and my right side and right arm subconsciously takes the lead and my divots are like 30 degrees cutting across. Would a better load and shoulder turn help avoid this over the top move?

Answer

Your issue is not uncommon. The process is learning to make the practice motion, then with a ball, then to the course. That’s why I structure my Signature Golf Schools with that process. Everyone is different and has some element of the “Ball Bound” factor which interferes with their swing motion and causes negative things to happen at impact. Tension often plays a factor, so relax on the course more!
