Bobby’s Answer

Last week I had the opportunity to help one of my students improve his game using Impact Based Teaching while shooting a segment for a statewide TV series called Living the Florida Life.

Dan is an amateur looking to improve his ball striking. He has an inconsistent pull and doesn’t know why. After analyzing a few swings on the all new Foresight Quad launch monitor, the data diagnosed his problem.

Dan’s inconsistency comes from a closed club face and a swing bottom that is 2 inches ahead of the ball instead of 4. Thus, he is striking the ball low on the club face which is giving him less ball speed, a smaller margin of error and errant shot making.

Every inch behind the 4 in front swing bottom adds a whopping 4 strokes onto your handicap! Fortunately, I have the perfect drill to help Dan move his swing bottom another 2 inches forward, square the club face and develop the consistency he’s looking for, and I bet it could help you too.
