Question

Is it better to adjust my aim point or my ball position to compensate for the varied length of clubs throughout the bag? The Golfing Machine points out that due to the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum, longer clubs will not square to the delivery line as early in the downswing as shorter clubs. I am not certain if that affects the low point of their respective swings, however. Many thanks in advance for your answer . . . the Impact Zone videos have certainly helped me achieve much more consistent contact and better ball flight!

Bobby’s Answer

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your question. Glad the DVDs have helped you! To answer your question: don’t change your aim point or ball position- stance width changes, but the ball position should remain almost the same. for all of the clubs, except for the driver.

Thank you!

My best swing produces a high draw, but every round I have swings where my driver hits the ground first, causing the club to snap shut and I hit a DISASTROUS low duck-hook! What causes this drop-kick and how do I correct it?

Hi Bobby,

Really enjoyed your videos and all the information. I have a question about release. Do you prefer an active release using aiming point, or do you prefer a float loading action, where in effect you never try to release; it just occurs naturally?
