There are 5 levels to this Player Pathway, with each level divided into:
- putting
- around the green
- full swing
- knowledge
- scoring
Putting, around the green, and full swing are divided into two sections: form and skills. There are various tests and checkpoints they have to pass in order to move forward to the next level.
Knowledge is divided into 4 parts: etiquette, rules, equipment, and sportsmanship.
Scoring is based on their scores. The “skills” section is based on the specific level they are on. For example, level one must shoot a 6 or better 3 different times from 50 yards. Level two must shoot 6 or better 3 different times from 100 yards. Once the kids reach level 4, they start playing 9 holes. These will be evaluated during class.
The kids then earn pins when they have completed each section in their respective levels. This allows them to move onto the next level. All levels and progress are kept track based on a personal booklet to help keep track of their progress.
For more advanced juniors we will be putting together a High School/College Prep class. We are currently working with our senior staff on a course that will be based on, on course work.
