Bobby, I wanted to comment on your Impact DVD.
I am a former PGA Member who after 20 years “in the business” resigned my position and bought another business in the private sector. I lost interest in playing golf and really just quit playing. That was almost 20 years ago. I have played maybe 30 rounds in the last 3 years just trying to have fun. It has NOT been fun!
It seems I was trying everything I know about the golf swing to improve and at least be somewhat competitive in my now amateur status. As you are well aware this is absolutely the wrong approach.
My swing (style) is good. All of my fundamentals and foundation are good.
I was really hitting everything inconsistent. Having a hard time breaking 90. Again I was about to just stop playing and maybe buy a boat or jet ski! No kidding I was ready to “hang it up” for the second time.
I was online yesterday and came across your website. I am well aware of what a golf swing should be, what it should look like and how it works. I was a Professional for 20+ years. Your introduction and comments about the impact zone made total sense. When I taught golf I always told my student the most important part of the entire process is the 6 inch path through impact. Looking back I don’t know if I did a good job explaining how to achieve it. You have.
I had totally forgotten the importance of not only lag but the quantity and quality.
I spent an hour yesterday and an hour today at my home club range. WOW. Amazing. What a difference! You have done an outstanding job of explaining what needs to happen and how to make it happen in a short amount of time.
I wonder if the “great players” actually do exactly what you are suggesting and have never wanted to share it for obvious reasons!
Anyway, Thank You.
