Meet Our Staff

Bobby Clampett

Founder and CEO

After many years of studying the greatest players in the world, I founded Impact Zone Golf, where our goal is to enhance and accelerate the enjoyment and learning of the game of golf.

I enjoyed a spectacular amateur and collegiate career, with many of my records still standing today. I turned professional at 20, after my junior year at BYU. I played the tour for 16 years before transitioning to a golf analyst and commentator in the mid 90’s to 2010. In 2008 I founded Impact Zone Golf – my revolutionary system that concentrates on improving a players impact position rather than their “style” of swing.

Student Testimonials

Terry W. Yates

I am still drawing off of your lesson. I shot a career low 68 last Sunday. It’s been my best year of golf and wanted to thank you again.

Rob Ross

Paul Surniak is a great instructor with many years of experience. I have had lessons from Paul for several years off and on, mostly just when I really needed it! (If you are a long-time golfer, you’ve been there!) Paul always had a knack for getting me back on track. Now that he has hooked up with Impact Zone (Bobby Clampett), he has gotten even better, and so have I. The structure of this system and the supporting measurement technology make it easier to focus on concrete improvements. My wife and I always complained about having to have “87 swing thoughts” whenever you take lessons. Not any more! The Impact Zone training, especially in the hands of a real expert like Paul, is a way to get measurable results while keeping it simple. Most importantly, it’s just more fun to play good golf! I am frequently scoring in the 70’s for the first time in my life and I just turned 65. If you want to get better, no matter your skill level right now, you owe it to yourself to give Impact Zone a try.

My director of golf for over 20 years at north shore country club near Chicago is Tim O’Neal.  Tim told me that you had the best teaching video in golf.  I am 71 and a 7 handicap.  Got the video a few days ago.  Shot 78 second day.  Shot best of my career 69 today w nine birdie putts missed inside 9 ft. Hit 16 greens.  First time ever shooting my age. Thanks so Much!!!

Phil Blanck

Bernard was great! He did a great assessment and gave me the drills to help me get into better positions and improve my swing. One of my best lessons and I have had a single digit handicap for over 50 years.

Anthony Senagore

Bernard was clear, concise, and precise in explaining need adjustments to my swing. One of the best approaches to swing adjustments I have experienced

John Mahoney

Impact Zone is a simple systematic approach to improve your golf game. Bobby and his team are great communicators. their step by step approach keeps me on a track to improve my golf.

James Osborne

Impact Zone Golf has taken over my coaching, working in conjunction with David Ostrow, her golf fitness trainer. Progress continues on finer points of the swing. She is great!–she continues to build my confidence, even when I am not at my best—learning “the process” vs the results has been very valuable

Steve Toth

Great experience and would strongly recommend IZG for beginners to experts. The professionals know the game and combined with all the technology in the assessment area you begin to understand where your opportunities exist. I look forward to continuing to learn and improve my scores which will lead to a more enjoyable experience on the course. Bernie Sheridan is an outstanding coach.

Chris Clements

Our group was very impressed with the educated staff as well as the state of the art technology that Impact Zone Golf provides. If you’re looking to improve your swing, or would like your shot analyzed, Impact Zone is the place.
