Question

The inspiring story of an 18-year old overcoming a disability to excel at golf

October 31, 2018

Bobby’s Answer

This week I am teeing up Clampett’s Corner with a little something different and extra, and to tell you the player to watch this week at the PGA Tour Pro Am Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

This player is probably someone you’ve never heard of, but when you hear and see his story, I think you will be just as inspired by him as we have been. His name is John Scott Senz. He is a wonderful 18 year old young man who plays golf on the Concord High School team. John Scott, as a patient born with hemispheric cerebral palsy, has personally benefited from the work of the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California and staff over the years. Thanks to the work of his dedicated medical team as well as his work ethic, his game has “soared like an eagle”.

P.S.  We are also excited that John Scott won the 2018 Jacqueline Clampett-Jones (yes, that’s my mom) JGANC scholarship.

  2. My hero. What an inspiration. All the best on your journey.
I will never again get down on myself when I am having a bad round or bad day.

  3. Morning Bobby had planned on attending one of your weekend seminars .Your online videos have helped me tremendously just cant afford right now.Me and the wiife are saving for next year .Question is do u suggest swinging 80 to 85% of your swing and why in details Thx

    1. Kerry,
How hard you swing is mostly depending on how effective your workhorse is. Those with effective workhorses can swing very hard and maintain consistency of contact.
      To better impact,
      Bobby

      To better impact,
      Bobby
