Tips for playing downwind short iron shots

Bobby’s Answer

Last week at the Senior Open Championship, we saw players challenged controlling distance on the 16th Hole at St. Andrews when downwind.

I offer up some tips for playing downwind short iron shots by using the simulator.

We recently built an amazing simulator in his World Headquarters Indoor Studio in Naples, and it is now available for play and lessons.  Come on in, the weather is always perfect, even though the course might have adverse weather.

Call 239-236-5536 for a round on the simulator or to schedule lessons!

  1. The tip is **not** about downwind shots, as indicated by the title, but rather about hitting into a headwind. We often see tips about hitting into a headwind, but seldom about hitting downwind.
