Brian Hughes

Advanced Instructor

Brian Hughes is one of only 400 PGA Master Professionals and has a resume as a golf professional going back over 25 years. Currently Mr. Hughes is Golf Program Director for the College of Golf at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Keiser University’s is a regionally accredited private career university that provides educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Golf Management degree prepares students for a variety of positions in the golf industry, preparing students to provide golf instruction, manage golf course operations, and ensure appropriate maintenance of golf facilities and equipment. During his career in education, he has amassed over 10,000 hours of classroom teaching experience and has given well over 8,000 individual golf lessons.

Prior to working at Keiser, he served a similar role for the San Diego Golf Academy, Carolinas Campus. An expert in golf education, Hughes graduated from the Golf Academy of the South as Valedictorian.   During his career, Hughes served as an assistant golf professional at two prestigious facilities, Valhalla Golf Club and the Tournament Players Club at Avenel and went on to open three different facilities as the initial Head Golf Professional or General Manager. Brian was twice named the Southern Ohio PGA Merchandiser of the Year and has been an extremely visible member of the community at each location.
