On the range, you strike the ball and take a very nice divot. You then place the next ball at the head of previous divot and swing again making really good contact. How much has the old divot grown?

Answer

Hey Jeff, thanks for your question, this is Paul Surniak a senior staff instructor at the Impact Zone Golf, the simple answer is very little. if you have a good angle of attack and a 4 inch in front swing bottom and you put the next ball right at the very edge of the back part of the previous divot there will be little additional divot taken on average i would say about a half inch or so would be all, but if you come in with slightly less than a perfect impact which is more common you will be taking a lot more obviously.
